Good question! The expoze.io saliency prediction model (the system behind our predictions) has been externally evaluated using the MIT/Tuebingen Saliency Benchmark. expoze.io received a score of 0.87, which is higher than many competing solutions, and very close to the score of traditional eye tracking research of 0.92 (note: this is with infinite participants and in optimal conditions). Meaning that, compared to the most optimal traditional eye-tracking studies, our platform is 95% accurate!
Don't believe us? Take a look yourself!
Our platform generates a heatmap for each image you upload, allowing you to directly identify what draws attention. In the advanced features plans we also offer inverted eye-tracking as well as custom heatmap settings, allowing you to customize the look and feel of the generated heatmap.

You should care because if people don't see your content/design, they're not going to see all the wonderful things you have to offer.
Think about how much visual stimuli you are exposed to on a daily basis. Humans are overwhelmed with visual clutter, all competing for our very limited attention. Our brains help us out by filtering out a lot of the clutter, but how can you make sure your message is not the one being filtered out?
The first step to take here is to make sure your visuals are salient or 'standing out'. This is a mostly subconscious process, so it can be hard to objectively measure without complex neuroscientific methodologies and tools. However, with expoze, these complex tools are no longer required.

Areas of interest (AOIs) can be used to evaluate how well important elements in an image are able to grab attention. For instance, it can tell you how well a brand logo or a product grabs attention in an ad, or how well a call to action or a button grabs attention in a UX design. This can make it easier to compare designs.
If you generate a heatmap, we also calculate the salience of the added AOIs. The salience of an AOI can be interpreted as the prediction of how likely it is that the AOI will be seen, and is a value between 0-100%. Both the size of the AOI and the salience of the AOI affect the likelihood the AOI will be seen.
