What you will work on

We have recently launched a new product - junbi.ai, which leverages cutting edge computer vision models combined with neuroscience to provide YouTube advertisers with predictive benchmarking scores on the creative effectiveness of their ad. As a Data Science Intern, your key responsibilities will be to support the junbi Product team in the creation of new benchmarks and validating/testing models to help our clients get more relevant insights about their YouTube ads. These might include benchmarks that are region, industry or platform-specific for example. Working closely with our AI Scientists and Product team, you will be responsible for the A-Z process of creating new benchmarks for the junbi platform, including gathering data, validation, testing and delivery.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Collecting new data sets for benchmarking and model training
• Creating and running scripts to create new benchmarks for clients (Industry benchmarks, Region benchmarks etc.)
• Taking ownership of the benchmarking process from A to Z, and continuously finding areas for improvement
• Testing and evaluating new AI models using Jupyter notebooks
• QA testing, checking key benchmark metrics and ensuring a high degree of quality and scientific robustness
• Creating new ad benchmarks (industry, platform, region-specific etc.)

Who you are

• You have demonstrated experience with programming in Python
• You know your way around the command line terminal and VSCode
• You are organised and detail-oriented, with a knack for getting into the nitty-gritty details
• You have an interest in neuromarketing and AI (particularly in Computer Vision)
• You are currently enrolled in a Master’s degree, with a major in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Neuroscience or a similar quantitative field
• You are an excellent communicator, a self-starter and take ownership of your responsibilities
• Any experience with Bash scripting, web scraping, and working with Jupyter notebooks is a plus
